Programme VII
Youth Writing & Creative Learning
Encouraging young people to write for the pleasure of it — with safeguarding taken as seriously as the craft.
Purpose
To give young people space to experiment with stories and poems outside the pressures of assessment, and to show that writing is something people do throughout their lives.
Safeguarding comes first
No activity for children or young people will run until an appropriate safeguarding policy, parental consent process and suitably vetted facilitators are in place, in line with the requirements that apply in Malta.
Ideas under consideration
- Holiday writing sessions for teenagers.
- Story-making sessions for younger children with a parent or guardian present.
- Supportive opportunities for young writers to read work aloud.
Programme status
We label every programme by its real status. Where this page describes formats, schedules or participants, it describes the intended shape of the activity. Dates, venues and any costs are announced on the Events page only once they are confirmed.
