Reading & Literary Appreciation
Every writer is first a reader. This strand is for reading together, slowly and well.
In development
Purpose
To encourage wide and attentive reading, and to build a habit of discussing books in a way that sharpens our own writing.
Intended activities
- Reading circles on a shared text, with discussion led by a rotating member.
- ‘Read like a writer’ sessions examining how a passage achieves its effect.
- Attention to Maltese literature alongside work from elsewhere.
Programme status
